Questions & answers
Quick answers to the most common questions about Depth Desk, the data we show, how billing works, and how to use the signals responsibly.
What is Depth Desk?
Depth Desk is a market-research tool for stock traders and long-term investors. Search any global ticker and get extended order depth, live trend, official news, upcoming catalysts, insider activity, institutional ownership and a positive / neutral / negative trend signal for both short-term and long-term horizons.
Can I trade directly in the app?
No. Depth Desk does not hold money, execute orders or act as a broker. It only shows information. To place a trade, use a licensed broker such as Avanza, Nordnet, Interactive Brokers or your local bank.
Is the signal financial advice?
No. Every positive / neutral / negative trend signal is an automated interpretation of public data. It is a research aid, not personal investment advice. You are always responsible for your own investment decisions. Read the disclaimer at the bottom of every analysis.
Where does the data come from?
We aggregate public data from Yahoo Finance, exchange feeds, official press-release wires (Cision, MFN, PRNewswire), regulator filings for insider trades, and investor-relations pages for upcoming events. Data can be delayed or incomplete, so verify anything material before acting.
How often does the data refresh?
Live prices, order depth and scores refresh every 30 seconds while the market is open and you are actively viewing the ticker. Favorites refresh on the same 30-second cadence for Pro and Unlimited users. Top Picks (Pro and Unlimited only) refreshes every 5 minutes to keep AI token usage reasonable. Free plans see a snapshot with limited session length.
What is the Depth Desk Score™?
A proprietary 0–100 number that blends order-flow imbalance, RSI/momentum, volume spikes, insider net-flow over six months, institutional ownership trend and catalyst freshness. A high score means several independent inputs agree — but it is still not a guarantee.
What do the Free, Pro and Unlimited plans include?
Free gives you a taste: 5 new-ticker analyses per day and 3 favorites. Pro adds 50 analyses per day, uninterrupted live refresh, the Top Picks scanner, 30 favorites and 10 smart alerts. Unlimited removes all limits, keeps Top Picks, and adds AI Deep-Dive reports, unlimited alerts and the PDF morning brief.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
All payments are handled by Stripe. Open the user menu, choose 'Manage billing' and Stripe's customer portal will open in a new tab. There you can update your payment method, switch plan or cancel. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Can I pay from the iOS or Android app?
Because of Apple App Store and Google Play billing rules, the mobile apps do not show a Stripe checkout button. To upgrade, open depthdesk.net in your phone's browser, sign in with the same account, choose Pro or Unlimited and complete the Stripe checkout. Your subscription unlocks automatically when you return to the app.
Can I get Pro or Unlimited for free?
Yes, if you receive an invite code from the developer or an admin. Open the user menu, choose 'Redeem code', and enter the code. The upgrade is applied immediately.
How do price alerts work?
Set a price cross (above or below a level) or an unusual-volume alert from the Analyze tab. We check every minute while you are online and send a browser notification. Email alerts are also available if you enable them in Notification settings.
Why is a stock shown in gray?
When the exchange is closed, price figures are shown in gray to remind you that you are looking at the last session's closing data, not a live quote. Opening hours and local time are displayed next to the price.
How do I change language or market?
Use the EN / SV toggle in the header. Currency, opening hours and all generated text adapt to Swedish when SV is selected. Search results include every major global exchange and Stockholm listings are prioritised.
New to stocks? The tutorial explains order books, trends, catalysts and how to read a Depth Desk analysis.
Not financial advice. Depth Desk is a market-research tool, not an investment advisor. Trading involves risk of loss. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
